The Armani Studio

Giuseppe Armani was born in Calci (Pisa) and has today achieved international fame and recognition. Young Giuseppe loved to draw and his home was filled with these drawings.Everyone was impressed with the young artist's work. It was colourful and fresh and his teachers encouraged him in his artistic attempts.
The young artist had to study on his own, as Calci was a small town and did not offer much to admire.
There were no important examples of the masterpieces for which the region of Tuscany is famous.Giuseppe's professional career began when he entered a classically-inspired male torso in a small exhibition of works by young artists, where his work was greatly admired.
When this was shown to an Art Gallery in Pisa, Armani was hired immediately to work there on a permanent basis.
Armani was finally exposed to the great masterpieces of the Renaissance and was captured by their beauty, spending days contemplating these treasures.
Armani began travelling around Tuscany, ever eager for artistic discoveries. He frequently visited Florence where he studied Renaissance themes in both sculpture and in painting.
His works evolved enormously during this time and he continued to search the area from Arezzo to Florence to Pisa for the masterpieces of the past.Visitors from around the world came to recognize his works.
It was during his tenure at the Gallery in Pisa that Armani's reputation as an artist began.
In 1975 Florence Sculture d'Arte and Giuseppe Armani commenced their extraordinary and exclusive relationship. This merging created the unique opportunity of communicating, troughout the world to people of different cultures and traditions, the experiences and the emotions that are the basis of any artistic creation.
Armani, who generally works in a studio that is attached to his house, sculpts to the same ancient rhythms of ancient workshops.
The genius of the Renaissance has inspired Giuseppe Armani to sculpt modern masterpieces. His renowned ability to put character and soul into his sculptures continue to amaze and intrigue us. The prestigious reputation of Giuseppe Armani has neither affected his simple way of life, nor his perception of the basic aspects of nature.

He suddenly passed away in October 2006.

We all have lost a great Master, but we have also lost a friend, who with his simple attitude has filled our lives with enthusiasm and has transferred to all of us his immense love for Art. He will be always with us, even if our world will miss his physical presence. He will live on through his art, and all the collectors and art lovers all over the world, will share a part of his wonderful personality just looking at the timeless works of art he created for them.
